Tournament Rules:
GENERAL RULES 1. Team Roster, Team Waiver and Certificate of Insurance will need to be provided at least 48 hours from start of tournament. Team Roster with a maximum of 15 players shall include Player’s Name, Address, School District, Jersey Number and Date of Birth. Proof of age (Birth Certificate) must be provided upon request. 2. Unless otherwise covered by specific tournament rules, all games will be governed by USA Softball Rules. 3. Coaches, players, or spectators ejected from the game are subject to ejection for entire tournament (TBD by Tournament Officials). 4. There will be a $100 Protest Fee that must be paid on the spot. Only rule interpretations are subject to protest. A Tournament Official must be notified at the time of the incident and will be resolved on the field. Once the game is over no protests will be heard. 5. If no games are played an 80% refund will be issued. 6. Once a game starts it is considered to be a game played. 7. Official scoresheet to kept by home team. Send a picture of scoresheets and text of final score to (234) 400-4907. Scores and brackets will be available on the Tourney Machine. 8. No player shall appear on more than one roster within the same division. A player who is rostered on both a community travel and a tournament team in their regular season may play for both teams if both teams are entered into tournament and are not in same division. Proof of regular season roster may be required. 9. Age cutoff will be September 1, 2024 (USA Softball) 10. No smoking, alcohol or pets permitted anywhere on premises (City Ordinances). 11. TIME LIMITS – SEEDINGS - TIE BREAKERS ● Pool Play - Time limit – at the 80-minute mark, complete the inning. (Game is over if Home Team is winning and at bat when time expires) ● A representative from each team will roll a softball towards pitcher’s plate during the umpire meeting at home plate to determine home/away. Closest ball to the plate gets their choice. ● UMPIRE ANNOUNCES THE START TIME AS THE HOME TEAM TAKES THE FIELD. ● Next inning is considered as started at the completion of the 3rd out of the previous inning. ● If third out is made at the 79-minute mark another inning will be played. If third out is made at the 80-minute mark, the game is considered over. ● Pool Play Games can end in a tie. Bracket Play – Time Limit - 80 minutes, complete the inning. Game will be considered over if home team is at bat and has the lead at 80 minutes. ● Games will start at the scheduled start time. However, the start time can be adjusted by Tournament officials if inclement weather is imminent. ● If inclement weather is imminent, teams should be ready to play up to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled game. Otherwise, teams will start at their scheduled start time. Imminent Inclement weather will be determined by Tournament officials. ● Home team will be the higher seeded team. ● Umpire announces start time as home team takes the field. ● If a tie, go to the “International Tie-Breaker” (Runner at second to start inning – the runner will be the last recorded out from the previous inning). ● Championship games have the option to play without out a time limit if both coaches agree at the plate meeting. BOTH Coaches must agree at the plate meeting! Seeding Tie Breakers for Bracket Play 1. Pool Play Points (3 Win, 1 tie, 0 Loss) 2. Head-to-Head (2 Teams) 3. Run Differential in ALL GAMES (Max 15 Runs per game) 4. Total Runs Scored in ALL GAMES 5. Total Runs Allowed in ALL GAMES MODIFIED RULES – POOL PLAY 1. Batting Order – All Ages will use a continuous batting order, in which all players who show up for a game are placed in the batting order. 2. Number of Players in the field a. All age groups – 9 Players in the field, Minimum of 8 players, forfeit if 7 or less players. 3. Maximum runs – Mercy Rule a. 15 Run differential after 3 completed innings or b. 10 Run differential after 4 completed innings or c. 8 Run differential after 5 completed innings. 4. If any pitcher hits three (3) batters in one inning (hit by pitch) will result in the pitcher being removed from the inning. Any subsequent innings where the previously removed pitcher hits three batters will result in the pitcher being removed from the game. OTHER RULES Pool Play *At the conclusion of each game and after teams shake hands… the teams will gather together briefly at home plate and each team will make a selection of the “MVP” from the OPPOSING team and present them with a medal as a sign of good sportsmanship. This is in pool play only. 16U/18U 1. Pool and Bracket Play Time Limit for 16U/18U only – 80 minutes, complete the inning. Game will be considered over if home team is at bat and has the lead at 80 minutes. 2. Free substitutions and continuous batting order may be used. 3. If a player misses a turn at bat because of illness, injury or other reason she is deemed to be out. 4. A maximum of 5 warm-up pitches will be allowed for a new pitcher and 3 for a returning pitcher.
